We perform inpatient as well as outpatient procedures, depending on the procedure offered and if you have had previous weight loss surgery or other major upper abdominal surgeries or have any significant medical problems. Procedures are offered in various outpatient surgery centers and hospitals.

Allergan is the manufacturer of the Lap Band. Dr Wilkenfeld is an Allergen Total Care Physician and has been invited to all the Allergan Total Care Forums since their inception. Our office has been used as a model for providing Bariatric surgery care. Plus, he is also the first physician in Montgomery County to be trained by Ethicon in placement and care of the REALIZE™ Band on its release.

We now offer not just adjustable gastric band surgery, but also Sleeve Gastrectomy and the newest procedure the Gastric Imbrication.
